Streptopelia decaocto


This species has almost completely replaced the native Mourning Dove in this area.
Much larger and more aggressive, I have seen it chase the natives away from the
feed bowl. I have spotted only one Mourning Dove in my backyard in the last year.
I have seen dozens of the Eurasian Collared Doves in the same time period.
