Harry is newly adopted. He is 1.9 years old and wonderful. He's very vocal and full of energy. He's also incredibly affectionate!

Four Month Old Welsh Pembroke Corgi
Bewildered
This image was desaturated in PS.
Sweet Dreams
All he does is sleep, eat, play, pee & poop. Typical puppy!
I'll Stare You Down!
Only eight weeks old and he's already trying to figure out how he can herd the other dogs around. A herding dog by breed's nature, he seems to be a sight dog in many ways, too. He's definitely scoping the yard in this photo. He almost looks cross-eyed.
Is That A Snow ... Bunny?

Spider!
Arrgghh.... I hate bugs. It was everything I could do to get close enough to take this. It was less than 1/2" and I still got the heebie jeebies! Didn't notice the "Mr. Bill's 'Oh No!'" face on the back of it's abdomen until later.

Which Way Did He Go?
Everytime I look at this photo, it cracks me up. Our dog, Diesel, checking over his shoulder, spying the evil seagulls scaveging the beach...

Dog Fight!
Diesel, the pitt bull mix, loves to torture Otis, the Shih Tzu. Otis is the dominant dog, and you can see by Diesel's face that he knows it.

Don't Even THINK About Coming In This Yard!

Scooby Doo?
Look at this crazy dog climbing up the attic stairs! See that stripe down his back? The hair stands up straight when he spies someone or something outside! This dog thinks he's in charge! Obedience training, hopefully, will change that, but I'll let you know! :) This quality of this photo is not all that good, as I had to hurry up and snap the photo when the opportunity presented itself.
Take This Chain Off Of ME!!
Diesel, in 'time out' for eating the stockade fence in our backyard. He's already eaten ONE fence. Now he's working on the new one!

Otis, My OTHER Watch Dog
Otis is a ten year old Shih Tzu. He's a good little dog. This photo was taken just before his Spring (BUZZ) haircut.
Big, Bad, Ears!
Just a snapshot. There is NO photoshopping in this image! Those are his real ears!

Ozzie Kat Outdoors
This was Ozzie's first visit to the screen room, as close as he's going to get to the outside, considering the fate of our last cat, Simon.

Otie's Face
Otis just turned 14 on July 23, 2004. Here he is saying: "I have this sad face on because I have this wicker thing growing out of the top of my head ..."
So much for composition, lol! But he's a cutie, no?

A 'fowl' prisoner indeed!

Getting The Earth Ready To Plant Rye
This kind lady, 'Miss Debbie', allowed me to obnoxiously follow her around and photographer her and her mules, 'Sally' and 'Suzie'. They were good, hard working girls, and very friendly!
19-SEP-2002
Morning Plow
The mules, 'Sally' & 'Suzy', shown here with farm worker 'Debbie'. Debbie told me that she was preparing the earth for planting rye. This was a hard shot for a novice like me, because the sun was coming from an undesireable direction, and I certainly couldn't ask her to move. She was really plowing up the earth, so I did what I could. It's not as sharp as I'd like, either. I need some good glass!!

This poor little creature just wanted to be left alone!
"Cosmo"
The beast bird. She's so bitchy!

Shy Peacocks
These little beauties had just arrived at the farm and were being very coy. They couldn't go any farther than the corner of the shed. In a few weeks they'll be ready to show off their beautiful tail feathers.

Tough Little Scavengers
This little couple was trying to figure out what happened to all the bird seed that got covered with snow from the blizzard we're having today. It was very windy out, yet they don't seem to be working very hard to hang on!

Lost
The birds were so hungry after the last blitz of a snowstorm. This little guy was trying to poke through trash bags, scavenging for food. I think he was disoriented by the storm and perhaps lost.

Rufus at Three and a Half Months
This is Rufus on the day we adopted him. We had no idea he was suffering from pneumonia AND distemper! Our own vet told us not to expect him to live through the night. We decided to see what happened, because we were already in love with this poor, sick, abandoned puppy. He grew up to be a beautiful, healthy, sweet dog. If you look closely at his belly, you can see how dehydrated he was. Here's a photo of him grown:

Mortally Wounded
This poor spider got caught in the latch of our screen door and well, as you can see, she got HURT! I mean, she got DEAD! The 28-135IS wouldn't let me get as close as I needed to, and so the shot has suffered a bit, but I like the composition.
I was wondering why she wasn't moving. I didn't see the guts until I opened the pics, LOL.

SockThief
Healthy at five months, after surviving pneumonia and distemper. He steals dirty socks from the laundry and runs out the door with them, enticing us to chase him! With every outing he gets stronger and healthier.

"Rudy Tudy"
He's getting bigger and better as every week goes by. Finally, we are seeing his personality, and his dispostion is wonderful. A sweet, quiet dog.

Did they really all just leave to go to a restaurant?
Otie, patiently waiting for me to feed him ...

Death Of A Bunny
I found this poor little fella on my property. He had no visible injury that I could detect. And he looked young and quite healthy, except for the fact that he was stone-cold dead ~ the victim, I suspect, of a car that was faster than he was. Poor, poor little thing. Life is so fragile...

Rudy, big and healthy
It's a miracle this dog survived distemper. He suffers a bit from neurological damage, which has manifested as a twitch/tick kind of thing, but he's healthy, happy and HUNGRY all the time! Here he is seen playing with his coveted hedgehog toy. He loves it because when he bites it, it grunts like a pig and drives Roo crazy! He is very, very loving and will eat anyone who tries to hurt one of us! UPDATE: Rudy is healthy and strong! Not only does he not have any neurological damage, he is exceptionally smart.

Cosmo & New
I didn't name these adopted birds that I've had for about five years. They are spoiled brats. But I love them. they look a bit ratty here, because the are soaking wet from their baths.
