Yellow-Billed Oxpeckers

Spanish: - En esta foto, dos Oxpeckers incursionan dentro de el orificio nasal de un búfalo africano en busca de insectos y parásitos. Estos en ocasiones toman de la secreción nasal, la cual es rica en sales y sirve como hidratante durante la época de sequía.
El Oxpecker casi siempre se observa en los animales salvajes de tamaño considerable como las gacelas, búfalo, Jirafas, ñues, zebras, etc.. Estos anímales toleran su intrusión ya que estos se benefician al eliminar los parásitos, y así mejoran la condición de salud del huésped.
Lugar: Colinas de Nabi, Parque Nacional del Serengeti – Tanzania.

Whoa! Great image, although it makes me feel a little squirmy... can't imagine having birds poking around in MY nose. Course, considering this fellow doesn't have hands, guess that's he can do...
