A mother Cheeta was scanning the sabana looking for any lions or hienas while
her cubs fed on a fresh gazelle kill. Her daughter seems to be learning fast and
helping mom checking for potential threats while her four other siblings were
busy feeding as fast as possible. In the sabanas of the Serengeti, it was a matter
of time before hienas or lion find out and spoil their "family lunch". Indeed, a few
minutes after taking this picture, a single adult heina saw them and stole their
kill. Fortunately, they all have had their fill, and only some bones and the head of
the gazelle was left. More than 30% of the the Cheetas kills end up beeing stolen
by lions, heinas or leopards.
