Houghton, South Dakota is about 25 miles west of Britton and only a mile east of the James (Jim) river. The jim River (named after Jim Monroe) runs through the Sand Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The photo shows that the US Post Office is also the Penny Candy & Outlet Store as well as the speeding warning.
