Lugu Lake is located in the north of Yun Nan province. It actually spans both Yun Nan and Si Chuan provinces. It takes about 9 hours on a minibus on a crappy and dusty road from Lijiang. But as soon as you get there, you will realize it's well worth the effort. It's often said that Lugu Lake is the fairy's tear. It is actually very much like so. The flowers grow on the lake bed with a pretty long stem. They blossom at sunrise and wither when the sun goes down. (Sorry, unfortunately I don't know the name of the flower). The people that live around the lake are mainly from Mosuo Tribe, in which people do the so called walking marriage instead of actually getting married.

泸沽湖在云南和四川交界处。 从丽江坐汽车过去需要9小时左右。 路很烂很颠。 不过去了后你就会知道很值。 常说泸沽湖是仙女的眼泪。湖边水底长的花有长长的茎， 把花开在水面， 日出而开日落而败（不过很惭愧我不知道花叫什么名字）。 湖边的居民主要是摩梭族。 他们的风俗是走婚而不需要实际结婚。
