the first time I've seen this pic was 0ct. 2016 but I was not able to confirm it with anyone in the family since most of them were already gone....I just got the confirmation from my Aunt who has been in the states since late 80's & yes it was their old place and she told me who were some of those she can reconize, the brains with this litsonan was her mom (lola ching), the lady with a payneta on her shlouder, she said her father was not in to this litsonan thing, it was the brother of mom, "tiyo badong" not in pic was one of the lechoneros, the man with the kwako is lolo andoy he was just a guest lechonero for he was manila based, the real "hit man" coz he was the one who puts the yummy pig to sleep was the man sitting turning the duruan on the far left and he continued the litsonan thing until around the mid 70's and during those years he was able to pass all his expertise int he art of litsonan to lolo momg & lola chings youngest son, Aling, in so short a time he was able to make lechon so good and super lutong like what the masters has been doing and that was the end of leachon in the family...if only Aling brought & practiced the lechon to the states in '88 when he left pinas, it could have been another story......

For Ross: it's located across Arellano street in Cavite city. The man that's squatting down smoking a pipe owned the bahay kubo and was the Master Chef, he's married to the woman with a towel hanging on her right shoulder, and the woman next to her with a pot hanging on her right hand was their daughter, who's also a friend of one of my sisters. A small narrow 'eskenita' ran thru between the two houses that ended at a main road, which was Garcia street.

im sure this was taken at the year of 1950 or 1960..look at their dress polo for men and blouse for women..and the haircut they call it `gupit binata` at that time.

It's like re-living the past 'cause the picture is crystal clear when it's on "original."
I recognize some of the people on this picture and used to live not too far around this area.

I remember my Dad with my other uncles during those days na sanay na sanay mag Lechon twing Fiesta sa Cavite. Ang galeng naman sa pagkaka ungkat ng ganitong klaseng pictures, very magical talaga, nailalagay at naiguguhit muli ng buhay sa alaala. Good job sa pag buo ng ganito, I really feel my being Caviteno. If I could only rewind the time at makabalik sa ganitong tanawin---ang saya saya, para bang walang kaproble-problema lalo sa Cavite City...
