I've lived around this area ti'll I was 17 years old. The streets you're looking at is an inter-section of Garcia st.(running North/South) and Arellano(running East/West). That's a mango tree standing erect at the corner. The house on the far right corner is owned by the owner of the Bowling Alley named Florming; at the left corner across it--can't see the house-- is owned by the owner of the Ice Plant. The man holding the bamboo which a lechon is protruded with is Mang Yeyu; he lives next to my house and makes a living cooking lechons on Cavite city Fiestas. The kid looks familiar but I just couldn't remember his name. About two and a half block at North/South end is the Cavite National High School. The date which is posted on the picture is dated:11-01-61; I think it's innacurate since Cavite city Fiesta is celebrated every 2nd week of November. I was an 11-yr. old 4th grader at San Roque Elementary School when this picture was taken and left for San Francisco, California in 1967. This wonderful picture brings back rewarding memories indeed. I kindly thank thee.
