Had something like this in mind, since I joined the challenge,
but had to wait for the right shot to put in some reflections of the past.
The one is an old pic of mine from 1968, may be from my first driving license, Iīm not sure.
When I see it, I always have to smile and think: This must be someone else.
The other is the original cover of one of my all time favourite lp records from the past: The Four Tops album 'Still water' from 1970.
This album had a great influence on the other motown album, I really love:
The Marvin Gaye classic 'Whatīs going on' from 1971.
The cover of the album is a reflection shot itself,
and the album contains the hits 'Itīs all in the game', 'Still water'
and a cover version of the song 'Reflections', originally done by the Supremes:
Reflections
Through the mirror of my mind
Time after time
I see reflections of you and me
Reflections of the way life used to be...
(Holland-Dozier-Holland)
Itīs a rather sad song about broken dreams and love, and the whole lyrics donīt really fit in here.
As for me, there is nothing sad about it.
The album always brings back sweet memories of the first meetings with the girl, I was in love with, those days.
