This is an interesting hummingbird. It is called a "Booted Raquet-tail." I wonder why it's called that? Maybe because of those cute puffy white "boots?" What a great shot Wendy! One of the most beautiful hummingbirds. Can't forget that long tail. This has to be one of your favorites. I have been trying to get these birds around here and I always miss by a fraction of a second. One of these days! :-)
