This was my 12th time on this trip. I go on a Mexican fishing boat, the Tony Reyes. I don't fish, I spend my time snorkeling, kayaking and exploring (along with a bit of napping and reading!). This is my first year with an underwater camera, the Canon Powershot D20. I was extremely happy with this little camera, it took great pictures above water, and I was happy to have it to record what I saw underwater. The water wasn't real clear, hence the murky images. I also had trouble seeing what I was shooting underwater...I just kept shooting what I was seeing through my mask and came out with some pretty good images. A real highlight for me was a visit from some young seals as we were snorkeling, fun to swim with them.
