Thank you, Cedric. Yes, I was using a 420ex for both the Bill and Rhonda wedding (shot with a G3), and the Ken and Yaffa wedding (shot with the Rebel). Flash exposure on the G3 is always flawless in my experience, whether as a fill in or as the only light source. The flash exposure on the Rebel seems to require a bit more of a learning curve. Flash exposure lock will help on the Rebel, however I didn't learn that in time for the Ken and Yaffa pictures. I think you should get fine results with the 580ex, especially since you'll have flash exposure compensation without installing the hack. Let me know how you like the 580ex on the Rebel.

Very nice wedding galleries you have captured. Were you using an external flash. I have the same camera. I just purchased the 580ex today.
