I believe this is a relatively rare desert lily. Obviously, it isn't in bloom yet, but the flowers are supposed to be exceptionally fragrant.

I don't recall any fragrance. I'll have to pay more attention next time. By the way, there were a lot of desert lilies around the Well of Eight Echoes.

The interesting thing about this picture is that there is a pattern in the sand that looks like it has been caused by the leaves blowing in the wind.
