I'm about to order the c-770. It was best tested in the consumer-test in the Netherlands last februari. But your gallery is the most convincing reason for me to buy that camera. I fell in love with your pictures! Thanks!

Hey Wayne
Thank you a lot for your advise! I did exactly as you told me. This really helps. Now my colors are a little more saturated. By the way, nightshots are very bright with this camera ! I really enjoy this! How I can put my pictures on this site, so that others can see them?? Please tell me.
Love your pics, they are great!! Please continue !
Hi Erwin! And Thanks!
I like the colors a little bit saturated, so for all outdoor daytime images I use "cloudy" white balance and my incamera saturation is at +1. Also whenever possible, I'll use a circular polarizer. I do enjoy evening shooting due to the lighting, but I shoot at all times fo the day (the polarizer really helps). Also, my incamera contrast is usually set at -5 to avoid blown highlights. I'll then use levels or curves in photoshop to increase contrast if required.
I hope this helps Erwin! Enjoy your new little awesome camera!
Cheers,
Wayne

Hi Wayne
I love your pictures! They are great! Yesterday I bought the C770. I'm still practising with it. Just one question. Your pictures have always very strong colors. Like you always shoot in the evening. Do you change your whitebalance settings? In the exif is written (10) for the whitebalance. What does that mean?
I was riding when I saw this great scene, so I found a picnic table to support my mini-tripod and camera. Then I put the camera in Manual mode (which is the only mode where you can keep the shutter open for up to 15 seconds), and tried shots with different shutter speeds, using the remote control so that no camera shake would be involved. For night shots like this, my typical settings are: Manual mode, Saturation +5, Contrast 0, Noise Reduction on.
For daylight shots, my typical camera settings are: Manual mode (although I was using Aperture mode before which is good), Saturation +1, Contrast -5. I set the contrast to -5 to reduce the chances of blown highlights, and then increase contrast if required via levels/curves in photoshop. I'll also use a polarizer whenever possible (great filter!).
Hope this helps Pretzel! I hope you really enjoy the c770. If you have any further questions, feel free to email me.
Cheers,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,
Lovely shot. I'm buying a C770 tomorrow, largely because of your fantastic gallery!
Just wanting to ask you how you set up the camera to take this shot, please? Also, for the daytime shots in your gallery, how (in general) did you set the camera up? Did you use the "auto" mode, or did you have to set up something special?
