This year we decided to make Arizona a destination instead of just driving through to somewhere else. Our first stop on our way to the Phoenix area was Petrified Forest National Park. Instead of heading straight for the touristy stuff, we stopped at an obscure trail head for the Historic Blue Forest Trail. It's at a pull off near the Tepees which are shown in this photo.
