Its not difficult to get there. You can go to skardu by air. its only a 45 mins flight from islamabad with beautiful views of the mountains. flight goes everyday unless the weather conditions are bad. The place is also accessible by road from islamabad but that is very tedious as it takes 20 hours of non stop driving and i would definetly not recomend that. [ i tried it and its beautiful but very tiring]. do visit it is really heaven on earth. but go now as teh best time to visit these ares is April to september.[ I went in October and the weather gets really unpredictable then so it may caus eproblems] all teh best

Thanks for the comments. Where do you live these days? You MUST take some time out to visit the Northern Pakistan in summer :) I'm a regular visitor of the North, and I'm more interested in taking scenic shots rather than the ordinary person's, "Yaar take my photo".

Man Its All awesome i must Say you have seen and shown Pakistan to us which very few can see and very have Shown i must say you are the most enthusiastic explorer of Pakistan i have ever known ab aur kuch nahi likhonga i am missing my Pakistan alot and remembering days of my college when we went to sawat kalam malam jaba Ushu Glacier it was all amazing i wish now i can travel there with my wife and lil daughter. Thanks for your comment, you're right, it was great fun, and you have the right to be jealous :)
You should make some plan for next summer... I know the percentage of Karachiites who visit Northern Areas is much lower than the percentage of (say) Lahorites, partially because of the extra 1000+km distance, but still there are many who visit the Northern Areas regularly.
