This vertical frame is the stronger of the two -- the grasses seem to offer more shelter in this format. The grass is sharper than the geese -- you need to focus on the foreground rather than the background, or else go to a smaller lens opening. If you had made this shot at f/8 at 1/40th of a second, the exposure would have been the same, but you would have had more definition in the coats of the baby geese.
