You answered my question very well, Shirley. It shows me that you are thinking about the purpose of your pictures as you make them, and not just making them because they are beautiful.

Phil, I guess I'm playing with form but not just for the sake of it alone. A cement street corner is usually plain and boring, but it's only made beautiful when the sun sets on it after the rain. The interactions between natural elements add beauty to human creation.

Very strong color and abstraction, but what does it say? Are you playing with form for the sake of form alone, or are your expressing an idea with form?
