The elegant, neoclassical bell tower of the St. George Holy Orthodox Metropolitan Church rises high above a stone street in the historic old town of Nafplio, Greece. This striking multi-tiered white belfry, showing Venetian architectural influences, was added to the complex in 1834 by the Regency council to commemorate the arrival of Prince Otto, the first King of Greece, who landed in the city in 1833.
