In the center of Bonn Marketplace (Marktplatz) stands the historic Marktfontäne obelisk, an 18th-century baroque monument that serves as a focal point for the plaza. The two dark, bulbous spires peeking over the rooftop of the Haus Metropol building belong to the Namen-Jesu-Kirche (Name of Jesus Church).
