Nestled in the Grund quarter of Luxembourg City, the Pont du Stierchen arches over the tranquil Alzette River. It provides panoramic views of the city’s ancient fortifications and lush green banks. The bridge is part of the Wenzel wall, built in mid-15th century to include the Grund and the Rham Plateau into the defense ranks of the city of Luxembourg. It originally has two towers but one was destroyed in the 17th century.
