Viewed from Campanone tower, the square below is Piazza Vecchia. The white, porticoed Palazzo Nuovo (center) was designed in 1611 by Vincenzo Scamozzi (1548–1616), but it was not fully completed until 1928. Served as the seat of the town hall till 1872, it is now a library. The 13th century Torre del Gombito (right) stands 52 meters tall.
