Located directly under the Stockholm Olympic Stadium, Stadion Metro Station (opened in 1973) features a bright blue, "sky-like" cave design, with a prominent, colorful rainbow created to combat the potentially depressing, dark atmosphere of the newly excavated cave stations. Åke Pallarp and Enno Hallek were the artists behind this striking mural.
