The Western Gallery (The Storstein room) is used for informal political activities relating to city council meetings. The large fresco by Aage Storstein named Human Rights adorns the walls. It shows the Norwegian constitution and its roots in the ideals of the French revolution. Various motifs from Norwegian history are also displayed.
