The Statues of three Tosa (Kochi) samurais stands in front of Kochi JR Station: from left to right are Takechi Hanpeita (武市半平太)), Sakamoto Ryoma (坂本龍馬), and Nakaoka Shintaro (中岡慎太郎). They played important roles in the overthrow of the Tokugawa shogunate in mid-19th century, paving the way for modernization of Japan.
