6127 Another page from one of Dad's sketchbooks that shows what it looks like in the flesh, this cartoon is from the early 1930's when Dad was living in New York City. The Great Depression was in full force, and the situation was dire for many people. Obviously, the expression "The wolf is at the door" was never more appropriate. It is interesting to see my father's commentary on the times via his cartoons. He found humor even in desperate situations.
