Gallery- Great Depression and 1930's

Walt Waggoner moved to Chicago in 1929 to study at the Chicago Art Institute. He then moved to New York City to pursue a career in journalism as an artist. Most of his work in the thirties was created in Chicago and NYC.

Many of his early works remind me of drawings by George Herriman

This gallery is great ! and your personal stories are as well.... I found myself going one to another but realized I want to slow down so they last longer, I will return
