This is one of my many photos that are beyond my meager ability to repair. It is the next photo in my journal of the Morzhovoi hike. After the slides from that awesome trip had been processed in a lab and mailed back to me, I sat down to my cassette recorder and spoke these words: "I took this picture solely because of the beauty of the scene. It is a disappointment, because the picture just does not do justice to the beauty of the real thing. That is a freshwater lake, with snow-capped mountains in the background. The straw-like stuff is grass and is probably totally green by now (June)."
