Talked to Mom (Emma) about this photo and she laughed a bit and said that it (the flaw in the photo) looked like Grandma Billig was soaking her feet ..... to sooth her corns. She said that often on a Saturday night Grandma Billig would sit with her feet in a basin of warm water while she read the Bible. Sometimes she would sing hymns to herself also.
