Baentey Kdei Temple

(best seen in original size)

Banteay Kdei was built in the late
12th and early 13th centuries under the reign of Jayavarman VII.
The temple was created in a very similar architectural style as Bayon,
Ta Prohm and Preah Khan. However, it is small in size compared to other Angkor temple.

It is remarkable that these temples were made so long ago. Look at the size of those stones! Imagine the work to build this complex, and then the decoration!! This is a place that is worthy of respect and awe. VV
