Gang-gang cockatoo (Callocephalon fimbriatum) - Male.
I found this glorious pair feeding on red berries in my front yard - right by the footpath.
Folks were walking by and coming within a metre or two of them. Most didn't even register
that they were there and the birds didn't seem to care. I've noticed this behaviour
before and wonder if the birds are a little stoned from eating the berries.
It's so good to see them around!
