Emerging from the Otemachi Subway Station, it is a short walk to the Otemon Gate of the Imperial Palace which is near the Palace Hotel. This was the first place I headed first thing in the morning. Admission is free. It is open from 9am to 4pm but visitors will not be allowed to enter at 3pm.
