The last known occupation was around 1425 AD. Why they were then abandoned is uknown. The 5-story stone/mortar dwellings contain 20 rooms and about 50 people probably lived here. Much of the day the ruins are in the shade, and it appears that other dwellings have fallen away from the cliff. This is an old national site, have been declared a National Monument way back in 1906.
