Banff National Park: Crowfoot Glacier

Banff National Park, Canada

Early morning view from the Icefields Parkway. Runoff from this glacier supplies water to the Bow River. The glacier has retreated since the end of the Little Ice Age and now has lost one entire "claw", making it no longer resemble the glacier early explorers named.
