The Historic Gettysburg Hotel, recently nicely renovated by the Best Western Hotels chain, dates to 1797. In 1863, President Lincoln honed finished the Gettysburg Address at the Wills House just across the colorful square. The hotel later served as President Eisenhower’s national operations center when he was visiting his home not far away.
