These were taken at a local winter Carnival In Winnipeg Beach. These are Radar Runs. Most of the sleds were photographed at full speed when they went past the gun... probably 90 mph plus. I used a fully manual 100mm E series nikon lens all handheld on a D200. They could all have been better if I had used a tripod and the natural light had been better positioned. I will have to try harder. It was really hard to properly expose the sleds because of the direct sunlight and the effect it has on the snow. Tomorrow are the drag races. It will be cloudy...exposure will be easier. This takes place on lake Winnipeg at Winnipeg Beach. Falcon Beach to you TV fans.
