Today I drove 460 miles to Cornwall and back and the car didn't miss a beat. But, I was in the Vectra, not the VW. It's still not finished. I just have to fit the exhaust and the heater pipes and it's done. But not today. After all those miles, (not to mention 3 hours DIY removing the old kitchen from the cottage) I wasn't up for any work on the car.
