May 5: Cornfield?

More shooting through wobbly glass. This time the bathroom window. I thought it looked a little like Van Gough's 'Cornfield'. In this case the corn is in fact, the garden fence.

Still no broadband. Did I mention how useless BT can be? Here's another example. I was researching ISPs for the connection at the cottage. BT were offering a 'Basic' package at a reasonable price. The spec stated that it wasn't compatible with a Mac, but as we're going to be using a router, I thought we'd be OK. Best to check first tho. I sent them an email. I explained that I was planning on using a router, rather than connecting directly and was there any reason why in that scenario, I'd have any problems with my iBook. I got a standard reply. The 'Basic' package is not Mac compatible, and I'd have to use the 'Advanced' package instead, with a suitably more advanced price! I questioned them again, saying that I didn't need any connection software, and would be connecting with a router. They came back and said they didn't know. They did give me a premium rate number to call... Hmmm been there before. Can you believe that they expect customers to pay for pre-sales support? What a total outrage! Anyway, We're not using BT anymore. Not if we have a choice!
