Apr 3: Believe!

Explain "footie" to me! said Anne. She was joking of course, but today’s photo is about footie. Today I went up to White Hart Lane to see Linda’s beloved Spurs take on Chelsea. A tough game. Chelsea are 30 points ahead of Spurs in the league. That’s the equivalent of 10 wins. To make things worse, Chelsea have won the last 27 league meetings of the two clubs. But, you have to believe. Linda believed that Spurs could win 3-1, while I was less optimistic believing a 2-1 result was possible. I put the £2 up for the bet.

The final result? Spurs 0 Chelsea 1. But you have to believe!

The odds on your bet should have been what? 500-1?

I think I'd have had a pound on each way!

Ray - what you mean they aren't already here?? ;)) David - it was worth a couple of quid on it?? Odds on Leeds staying in the premiership - pretty long I'd guess?

Does that include a visit by aliens, Jeanne?

I believe in a lot of things that may never happen. But what fun is living without fantasy or hope??

Yea, Spurs! Whether its "footie" or baseball the same thing applies "you gotta believe". :)

That's what it's all about - believing in the unbelievable!
