Mar 14: Vintage

This is starting to look like a collection. The latest acquisition, an Agfa Silette with an Apotar lens in a Prontor SVS shutter (top) is an accident. I wanted an yellow or orange filter for my Isolette folding camera, and found a really neat set with green and orange filters + a hood in a very nice leather case. The price was right and the Silette came with it. It needs the shutter and focus de-gunged and the lens cleaned. But very nice for free. But as I already have a very similar Retinette, I'm not sure what to do with it. The Retinette is really a better camera, with its Compur Rapid shutter. But I'll see if I can fix it up and give it a go. Retinette v Silette 55 years on.

A collection, indeed!

I'm not quite sure when the Kodachrome cardboard boxes gave way to the plastic ones. Round about 1970, I'd imagine.
Nice use of the black backcloth.
