following on from yesterday and hoping my new uke will last longer than the Nikon it replaces in the toy cupboard, here's a vice that's lasted a long time. I think it belonged to my grandfather and it's mounted on a block of wood so that it could be clamped to... whatever was handy... a table? A chair? Who knows how old it is, but it was a time before the Black & Decker (tm) Workmate (tm). And it's still a useful tool. I used it today. Compare that to the combination square (which isn't quite square) that I bought this week. Hmmmm...
