We loved being in Luang Prabang for 16 days and would happily return. The former capital of Laos has a UNESCO world heritage district, a beautiful setting among green hills and beside two rivers, many wats, saffron-clad monks, colonial buildings, good food, and bicycling opportunities. I have put in a variety of photos, which I hope will give some idea of the great combination of sights that weave together in this mellow place.
The first photo shows monks coming down the street in front of our accommodation to collect morning alms.
