As in many of my work when ever I want to protect a certain area of my work from over painting. I cover that area with a rubber cement.
Just to let people know, I wanted to apply Rubber Cement but this crazy town doesn’t have any rubber cement. I went to every hardware store in Medicine Hat and none had it. How dummmmm is that.
I found an art supply store that had liquid frisket but they wanted $20 for a 60 ml bottle...
I had to go back to my roots in my home town of Brooks, where I found some Rubber Cement at the Home Hard Ware down town for $3.50 a bottle.
One of the ladies mentioned that they didn’t know why they had this stuff on the shelf.
I told her that Ray, had brought it in a long time ago for me....Thanks Ray..
Now I can apply the rubber cement to my canvas...
