June 18 2005, Brain sucker bug. The suckee got the last laugh!

OK, here's a twist on the circle of life thing.

At first glance this is just an ordinary day in the "bug sucks out other bug's brain" world.

Nothing unusual going on here.
...........or soooo it seems..........

The unseen thing is that the sucking bug died in this act.

Seems to me that the little bug getting sucked had a toxic brain.
The big sucker bug expired. Here you see his last meal.

I suspect that the deathby-toxic-brain acted to protect many other brethren bugs.

Soooo....my nominee for the little buggy-Darwin award goes to the sucker-bug. He died. The little guy gave his all for the protection of his species.

Fascinating.....this Circle-of-Life/Darwin stuff.

OMG, this is awesome! Your mom has this never ending supply of PaDs in her yard, I swear! I'm voting, btw.

I had no idea that this event could happen in this manner. At first I would say it's too bad for the prey, but then I see the prey's heroism. Fine catch you got. And what are your tubes doing on you moms porch???
