The next morning looked promising for our third attempt to climb "Bidean".
Bidean nam Bian is the highest peak in a group of mountains south of Glen Coe and north of Glen Etive in the Scottish Highlands.
With a height of 1,150 metres, it is a Munro and the highest point in Argyll.
Richard had climbed it before and had always wanted to do it again, but it had either been to wet or too much snow along the ridge.
Bidean's summit lies behind the dramatic Three Sisters of Glencoe, two of which you can see in this image.
