Warkworth Castle

Warkworth Castle was built in the mid-twelfth century either by Prince Henry of Scotland or by English forces after Henry II seized back control of Northumberland. Edward III granted the castle to the powerful Percy family in 1328 and they converted it into a lavish palace.
