Scott was my closest friend from back in the day. He was kind, smart as hell, and surfed with a "next level" style and flow. I miss him.
I spent time with him in the hospital after his next to last OD. We went to some 12 step meetings together in the weeks after, but he was on another, short, path.
He didn't make it back from the next one, and it tore me up so bad I couldn't bring myself to go to his paddle out. I felt at the time that I should have been more persistent at pushing the program on him. I miss him. He was a special soul.

Scott,
He blew me away with all his wisdom. I came across a picture not to long ago, when Scott was in Hawaii with Frannie. They were on Oahu and my sons father CHAZ was in the photo. OXOXO Scott was in my thoughts I didn't know he passed away. It saddens me. God Bless

He sure was an awesome guy. He was my best surf bro back in the mid 70's. I had to move away in 77. I never saw him again. If anyone could tell me what happened with him and how he died it would mean a lot to me. Thanks a bunch
