In the summer of 77, I think, a group of younger kids began learning to surf at the breakwater, beneath the radar of the more established locals. Randy and Jaime( the curly haired one)were the stand-outs to me. This isn't my first picture of Randy but it tells the most. Notice the old bike, down on the sand, and not up against the wall ( ya know what that means) and I think that this was the famous wet suit that sort of shimmered...[actually it's not but see the next picture, 00270, in which it is featured!]
