The sign on the right states No trespassing or crossing the bridge in two languages (English and Spanish) but this family of four are more interested in getting to the beach by way of this short cut near Del Mar California.
The passenger trains speed limit varies between 79-90 miles an hour along this stretch of track.
Who would cross a freeway when cars are going 70mph? This reflects the casualness that some feel about crossing railroad tracks. Could this be one of the reasons that California was third in number of fatalities for three years in a row between trains and persons?
