While staying at Cathedral Mountain Lodge outside Field in Yoho National Park I had occasion to shoot the sun setting on Cathedral Mountain. This particular evening I drove a couple of kilometres up the road to Takakkaw Falls to find an unobstructed view of the peak. The almost full moon rose as I was preparing to head back down the hill. Always worth waiting just a few more minutes in instances like these.

The moon, admittedly, is somewhat over-exposed due to the light-gathering properties of the exposure (see details) but I felt this was a necessary compromise in order to retain some detail in the mountain.
